Launch pad - A launch pad is designed and built to meet a launch vehicle's special needs and requirements. For example:

Launch tower - A launch tower is constructed on the launch pad of an unguided rocket for the purpose of guiding the rocket until it is fast enough for aerodynamic stabilization to take effect. For the launch of self-guided rockets a launch tower is unnecissary.

Rocket launch site - A rocket launch site is a facility for the launch of rockets. It has usually one or more launch pads or suitable sites to mount a transportable launch pad.
